I had the pysanki kit out this month, so I made a #12 egg!

Pysanki!

Pysanki (Ukranian Egg dying) is a wax resist dying process:
you put wax on the egg and dye it in a darker color - wherever the wax is doesn't take the dye.
At the end you melt off the wax and you're left with a beautiful creation.

Beautiful Things: Pysanki

Pysanki is a wax-resist egg dying process.  Every couple of years, I haul out my kit and give beginner lessons.  This year, my mother-in-law tried it out!
