Day one: I started with three skeins of wool yarn: one worsted weight and two lace weight.
Someone told me you could make speckled yarn by crocheting the yarn first. So, I did.
One panel of HDC crochet using a J (6mm) hook)
Then, I mixed two packets of cherry koolaid and a bunch of boiling water and soaked the yarn until the water cooled.
After it dried, I disassembled it, and it was very speckled!
But I wasn't a fan of the salmon color, so I dyed it again.
Day Two: I crocheted another dye blank; this time using front post/back post ribbing, again with the J hook.
And I soaked it in boiling water with "scary blackberry Ghoul aid".
And I ended up with three surprisingly different skeins of yarn!
